Looking Forward

It's been quite awhile since I did a looking forward post!  Here are some things I am looking forward to!

This weekend I am looking forward to running with my running club for the first time since moving back!   My schedule has been a bit chaotic since moving back but Saturday morning is wide open so I will join the club for 6-8 miles.

This month I am looking forward to the house warming party Phil is throwing at his place.  The theme will be Mexican which is an easy meal to pull off for a larger group.  We'll serve tacos, chips & salsa, and margaritas.  You can't go wrong with a menu like that!

This summer I am looking forward to my sister Abby's trip home.  I haven't seen Abby since October and haven't seen her husband in 2 years (he spent the last 18 months becoming an Air Force pilot so hasn't been home for awhile due to that!).  They'll be spending their time at home at the lake so I am planning on taking a long weekend so I can get extra time with them + time by the water.

This year I am looking forward to my girls running rendezvous in September.  This year we are doing a trail race in Berkeley.  I bought my plane ticket last month and we found a cute apartment to rent on airbnb.com so the trip is starting to feel more real.  I can't wait to spend time with some of my favorite people in one of my favorite cities!

What are you looking forward to these days?

You have a lot of amazing things to look forward to!!

I am looking forward to a couple days at the lake for my bachelorette party (round 2!) with the bridal party in Okobjoi and of course I am looking forward to the wedding!! I am also really looking forward to riding a few days in RAGBRAI the week after our wedding! I might have a slight obsession with biking these days! :)

The house warming party sounds divine. And you can't go wrong with Mexican food, ever.

I'm looking forward to:
This month- adjusting to life with the bonus midglets and my week long "vacation" near the end of the month. (vacation in quotes because I'll have to work from home but that's ok!)

This summer- my (work-related) trip to DC!

This year- seeing one of my childhood BFF's welcome her 2nd baby into the world, celebrating several other birthdays, a wedding, and a (work-related) trip to Florida in the fall.

You have some really awesome things to look forward to!!! That welcome home party sounds so fun. What are you guys cooking?

I'm so excited for some lake time in August. I can't believe how long it's been since Ryan has seen the family. Crazy how fast 2 years have gone by!

That race sounds amazing! We just bought our tickets and are working on booking our lodging. Lots of planning because we spend 2 days in San Fran, then we take a taxi to the Golden Gate bridge early Friday morning, and run a 2 day race to Napa, stay in Napa 2 nights, and then go back to San Fran for one more night!

What area of San Fran are you staying in? That race will be so beautiful!!!

Great list of events! I'm looking forward to the weekend with some of the grandkids coming to the lake! I'm not looking forward to the weather predictions for this weekend or in the near future as I like warmer weather than we are getting! And the rain can stop, NOW!
I'm also looking forward to the rest of summer with family and friends getting together!

Mexican is the ultimate crowd pleaser :) Hope the house warming party is extra fun!

This weekend I am looking forward to celebrating Father's Day with Jason.

This month I am looking forward to seeing Welles be a ring bearer for the first time! Not sure how he's going to do with his responsibilities but I know he'll look adorable!

This summer I am looking forward to spending a lot of time doing things I love without worrying about employment. I haven't had job security like this for quite some time!

This year I am looking forward to finally being able to teach Spanish again. My schedule next year has me teaching both English and Spanish. I'm psyched!

That's a lot you have going on! I'm still relieved that the looking forward list doesn't include "leaving Charlotte" anymore. Have run with the running group this weekend!

I'm looking forward to a sprint triathlon on saturday. first tri of the year.

All of those things sound excellent! I am looking forward to our camping trip that is quickly approaching. Have to get through a party we are throwing tomorrow and then onward to camping. Thankfully, I already have most of my planning done and a lot of our stuff is already in the camper but full force packing and what not begins Sunday!

You have me craving chips, salsa and guacamole now! And I'm so looking forward to San Fran too. I'm also looking forward to having two weeks off in August too...we have nothing planned yet (we did so much planning for Europe last year), but kind of looking forward to doing whatever we want each day :)

You definitely can't go wrong with that menu!!! Love that you are able to do a looking forward post again!!!

I love Berkeley, I practically grew up there! I'm looking forward to visiting my sister and brother-in-law in a couple of weeks when I'm in Pittsburgh for work and seeing their new house, and I'm looking forward to a trip to Denver in July! I've never been outside of the airport there so there's lots to explore in my non-working hours.

Ah... so much good things happening this year for you! A Mexican-themed housewarming party sounds the most awesome.

That trail race sounds awesome! And I'll look for the details on Phil's housewarming party--fun! Did he buy or just move elsewhere?

I'm looking forward to this weekend. I have finals next week but I'm not stressed out about them at all and I just finished grading for my students. I'm hosting a friend from my undergrad and her husband for dinner on Sunday (I've only seen them once in TEN years!). I'm looking forward to hopefully just relaxing tomorrow.

I'm looking forward to this summer and having things settled into routine. I'm looking forward to other friends from out of state coming to visit also. Looking fwd to Granny's 103rd birthday celebration and to days of outdoor pursuits.

I'm also really really looking forward to December when I'll be done with the massage program and can work toward board exams....and spring when my boss is giving me the green light to add an additional course to my offerings. Lots of good things down the road!

Your running trip sounds like so much fun, as does spending time with your sister. I hated when my sister lived at school because it meant only seeing her every 4-6 weeks. She just moved home and I like that much better :)

I am looking forward to 4th of July weekend because it's the next weekend where I have zero plans!

The Mexican themed party sounds fun!! I want to come! Haha! I love themed parties, and it makes menu planning so much easier when you pick a theme.

I'm looking forward to:

This weekend - Brunch with family
This week - Dinner with my dad
This month - My last day of work for the summer!
This summer - A trip to Montreal for a week
This year - Vegas at Christmas!

It sounds like you've got so much to look forward to and after the year you've had, I'm so excited for you. I'm really enjoying see you thrive again back where you want to be!

This weekend as I was looking forward to taking a Canadian friend down a stretch of the Great Ocean road and now that I've done it, it was brilliant.

So many things to look forward to! I can't wait for our trip in September! Right now I'm just really looking forward to SUMMER. I'm trying hard to keep it as unplanned as possible so we can spend lots of time camping, laying by the pool and relaxing.
